What is an IPL™ Photofacial?

Using Intense Pulsed Light (IPL™), the IPL photofacial is the best way to gently rejuvenate your skin. During your 30-minute IPL photofacial treatment, intense pulses of light penetrate deep into the skin. This photo rejuvenation treatment causes collagen and blood vessels to contract and reduce:

  • Sun Damage
  • Unwanted Freckles
  • Redness
  • Rosacea
  • Fine Lines
  • Broken Blood Vessels
  • Uneven Skin Tone

Your IPL™ Photofacial will be the most gratifying procedure yet. The best part? While you’ll see it start working instantly, the benefits will be even more apparent in the weeks following your treatment!

Is an IPL™ Photofacial Right For You?

Those with lighter skin generally have the best results with IPL™ Photofacials. These clients saw results such as improved skin tone, texture, smaller pore size, fewer wrinkles, and much more.

An IPL™ facial is not recommended if you are pregnant or taking Accutane®. If you have questions about whether an IPL™ Photofacial treatment is right for you, ask your consultant at Celebrity Med Spa.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Rosacea?

Rosacea is one of the most common cosmetic skin conditions. Enlarged blood vessels may cause your cheeks and nose to have a red, flushed appearance. An IPL™ Photofacial is a great rosacea treatment, constricting blood vessels and reducing the symptoms of rosacea.

Will my IPL™ Photofacial Treatment Hurt?

While not painless, the IPL™ Photofacial is tolerable. Many patients describe it like a quick “snap of a rubber band” or “prick”. If you find that you are particularly sensitive, Celebrity Med Spa’s highly trained staff can provide you with a numbing agent for a small fee, just let us know.

How Long Does an IPL™ Photofacial Take?

Your IPL Photo-Facial will take about 30-45 minutes at our Beaverton med spa. We schedule for about an hour to make sure we have time to keep you as comfortable as possible in our relaxing spa rooms.

How Many Photofacial Sessions Do You Recommend?

Every person is different. At your initial consultation, we’ll help you create a treatment plan designed to produce optimal results for you.

How Do I Care For My Skin After an IPL™ Treatment?
  • Avoid heavy sweating, hot tubs, saunas, hot showers, or intense exercise for 48 hours after your treatment.
  • Use a cold compress to reduce swelling and redness.
  • Don’t scratch or scrub treated skin.
  • Don’t tan for 4 weeks after your treatment.
  • Use SPF 45 or higher indefinitely after your Photo-Facial to keep your results.
